Vegas Baby – Fun trip with the girls.

What would be an exchange semester without traveling to Vegas? I would say it is the ultimate girls’ destination at  any time of the year. Oh boy, that was a lot of fun. So excited to write a blog post about this weekend trip. It was my second time in Vegas, and I’ve to say, I could go there again and again. So much to see and do! 🙂 During my exchange semester at UVIC, I travelled quite a lot, of course Las Vegas was on our list as well.

Where to stay?

We got a very good deal to fly from Vancouver, especially during that season which was at the beginning of December. This time we booked a hotel room at the Hotel Paris .  Rooms are absolutely beautiful, clean & big! Lots of space to spread out all our party-outfits, shoes, curling irons, straigtheners, etc. I am convinced it is a perfect hotel for a girls weekend getaway! For my first Vegas trip, we stayed in the Luxor Hotel, the pyramid. Can also just highly recommend it, especially the pool area is so big and very cool lie down areas.

What to do?

I think, in Vegas everything or  many attractions on ‘the strip’ (main road) can be reached by foot. 🙂 However, sometimes you need a taxi or instead I also recommend to take Uber.

Ride the Rollercoaster from the New York, New York Hotel! Ahhhh, I could ride it over and over again! So much fun and not too expensive either. Make sure you get the front row 🙂

See a show! Vegas offers numerous different shows, but make sure you grab your tickets ahead of time!

Nightclubs and Casinos!  Marquee in the Cosmopolitan was so much fun! Plan to wait in line, but once when you’re in its so awesome. Absolutely worth the wait 🙂 Tao Nightclub in the Venetian Hotel. They have two big main floors, dancers and amazing drinks! We danced the night away and hardly got sleep the whole weekend.

Taking a picture at the famous Vegas street sign! I did not think that a street sign can be that busy. We had to wait in line to finally get this shot. But I think, it turned out pretty good 🙂 We saw lots of couples, who took weeding pictures. Definitely worth the wait!

The Pirate Battle at the Treasure Island! Apparently, it is closed down and no longer active. Very unfortunate.

An amazing weekend I will never forget! Julia ♥
