Relaxing. Eating. Laughing – best ingredients for a long weekend. Just came back from our trip at the long Family-day Weekend. We spend a few days in Sequim, Washington, and visited a friend. The weather was just perfect, lots of sunshine and almost no wind. We basically slept in, enjoyed our morning coffee together and then headed out to our day activity. We arrived there pretty late on Friday night, a bit after midnight, and just went straight to bed. On Saturday we visited the Olympic Game Farm. If you love animals, you definitely have to check that out. It is a drive-through wildlife exhibit, where animals will come up right to your vehicle! Its an absolutely incredible experience – which made me laugh non-stop! Has anyone else been there? This cute bear was literally 3 meters away!
Saturday night we made a fire and sat around it, wrapped in blankets and coats. For the first time I made grilled marshmallows! I could not stop eating, I have such a sweet tooth. Although it was freezing cold, we had a lot of fun being outside late at night. On Sunday we went to Port Angeles, a small town, just 40 minutes away from Sequin. We got yummy coffee and enjoyed a glass of wine in a restaurant at the Pier. As every day, we slept in as well on Monday and left around noon to catch the ferry in Port Townsend. All in all I had an amazing long weekend, surrounded by friends, good food and drinks. Here are just some snapshots from the weekend.
I am just so thankful for this space I have to share a little piece of me! 🙂
xoxo Julia
