Don’t know what to do with overripe bananas? Here is the answer: turn them into baked banana chips! This snack is easy to make and perfect for dipping or on top of your morning muesli/granola bowl. It goes so well with dipping in peanut butter! In my opinion, this snack is a super cute add-on to a present for your best friend! It is tasty, sweet-salty and much healthier since they’re baked!
Baking Time: 155 minutes | Preparation: 5 minutes | Total time: 2h 35min
WHAT YOU NEED:
- 3-5 bananas (or depends how many chips you want to have)
- squeeze of fresh lemon juice
- cinnamon
- salt
Preheat the oven to 110 degress and get a baking pan ready with parchment paper.
Slice the bananas super thin, about 3mm and lay them out on the tray. Mix in a bowl the lemon juice, salt and a bit of a water. Now brush the banana chips with the mixture. Optional: If you like you can sprinkle the banana chips with a little bit of cinnamon. (During baking they get way darker then).
Now its time to put them in the oven. Make sure to flip them half way through to make them perfectly crispy. The chips will harden more as they cool down. If you’d like them more juicy, take them out a bit earlier. You’ll see during the baking process and can decide when they are done for you. 🙂
Hope you’re enjoying this snack!
